The COVID 19 Pandemic has totally changed and challenged every spectrum of human life. The education system too has not remained unaffected. With the schools shut allacross the country, online classes have become the need of the hour. The management of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Lucknow started online classes for all its students, on 07th April 2020. The aim of these classes is to ensure continuity in education, during these trying times. A carefully drafted timetable is meticulously followed. The material and the pedagogy used by the teachers is at par with our regular school curriculum. Through structured chapter wise and topic wise videos, audios, assignment pdfs worksheets etc, teachers ensure that the ‘virtual classroom experience’is as effective as the ‘real classroom experience’. The students as well as their parents have adopted and adapted overwhelmingly to this new digitalized system of education. The presence of each student in the digital classroom is monitored through his participation in the class and his assignments. Regular Problem Solving Sessions are also incorporated in the timetable so that each student would get an opportunity to clear all his doubts. Assessment of child’s progress is an integral part of education, hence two online tests (IN APRIL AND MAY), with Standard Operating Procedures for teachers, students and parents were also conducted.
A Virtual health and fitness camp was launched through the online mode from 3rd June 2020 to 21st June 2020. The motive behind organising the camp was to enable students to keep their body and mind healthy with the help of various ‘easy to do’ and fun filled activities that could be performed within the safe confines of the child’s home. Yoga was also incorporated in the camp with an aim to improve their health.
The management of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial group of schools has a vision to impart the best education to the masses, the online classes have carried forward that vision and aim. RLB remains committed to its endeavour in contributing to the progress and growth of its students under all circumstances.
